Filipinos are known to be humble; these values are the only treasure we have that marks us as a true Filipino. This value of humbleness has been passed on generation to generation and is one of treasure we have that marks us as a true Filipino. But what if you see a Filipino oppressing his own fellow citizen at an open public place? How would you feel?
A sickening video of man believe to be in a middle class status humiliating a vendor who accidentally bumped his car with the vendor’s pushcart.
As the driver went out of the vehicle, the vendor who appears to be nervous apologizes to the driver.
The driver replied, “Sorry? Ganun ganun lang yun.” (Sorry? Just like that)
As it appears on the video, there was no major damage on the car but the driver went on and demanded for money.
The driver went berserk and hit the vendor’s water container which was thrown at the side of the road. He continued and picked one of the vendor’s goods and throws it of the street.
The helpless vendor went to pick it up and nervously telling the driver that it was merely an accident.
However, the ill-mannered driver held the vendor with his shirt and said, “Anong di sinasadya? Niloloko mo ba ako? ” (What accident? Are you fooling me?)
The video was ended abruptly, and it was unclear if the vendor reported the incident to authorities.
It is truly disgustful to see ill-mannered well-off people imposing their superiority over impoverished beings who are honorably working hard to make ends meet.
